Exinda Community
The Exinda community is a group of Exinda appliances that communicate in a WAN.

The Exinda community feature will also be available in the x700 range of appliances in the next x700 firmware update.

The Exinda community can comprise of both x800 ad x700 devices.

The features that Exinda community allows x700 and x800 devices to:
- Join Exinda community.
- do transparent TCP compression .
- Automatic failover. If a device becomes unavailable compression and acceleration to it will stop.

The x700 range will only support compression within the community.  Legacy compression using protocol 138 and transparent TCP compression will be supported.

Registration Server
Each community must have a selected Exinda device nominated as a Registration Server.  The Registration Server keeps a status of all devices in the community and serves as a method for each device to discover all other devices in the community.  The password of the Registration Server is used by other Exinda devices to register themselves to the community.

Standard Node
All other devices in the community must be a Standard Node.  These nodes must be configure to point to the Registration Server IP address and have the Registration Server password.  When online they will register themselves automatically and advertise themselves and their status and capabilities to the community.  Capabilities include WAN memory size, compression algorithms, TCP acceleration and acceleration bandwidth.

Communications between between the Exinda community are encrypted and use XML over HTTPS.  HTTPS (port 443) access between the devices in the community is required.
