Leo Burnett
Background Leo Burnett Worldwide is a specialty marketing services and advertising agency
with offices in 83 countries around the world. It has built some of the most recognizable
brands world-wide including McDonald’s, Disney and Heinz.
Overview
The information technology (IT) staff for Leo Burnett Middle East and North Africa (MENA) operates a corporate network that supports more than 700 employees. Employees rely heavily upon the corporate network to research information on the Internet, communicate with clients and access Web applications centralized in Paris, Dubai and Chicago.
The IT staff was challenged with sky rocketing network operating costs. The network was carrying over 400 Gigabyte of data per month and growing at a rate of more than 20 percent per year. Furthermore, network application response times were degrading due to network latency and congestion, particularly for remote office users.
To read how Exinda Networks resolved Leo Burnett's performance issues and set them on the path to application acceleration, take a look at the Case Study.

| Technical Update |
We are in a period of exciting technical innovation and rapid paced developments at Exinda today, our Engineering Team has been paving the way for continued product development, wide area networking efficiency and increased customer productivity. Here some of the more interesting recent achievements and applications of Exinda technologies:
- Jumpstart Wizard
- MPLS : Maximizing performance and productivity
- Use ARM to measure Application Service Levels.
Jumpstart Wizard
Did you know that you can now use Exinda's Jumpstart Wizard to begin optimizing and accelerating traffic on your network? Jumpstart (new in v4.9) uses a best practices policy set to optimize VoIP, Citrix, Web, File & email services and accelerate WAN applications. Jumpstart creates and applies a default policy set which can be modified by administrators. It serves as a quick way to complete some of the key configuration steps to get you up and running.
MPLS - Multi Protocol Layer Switching networks : How Exinda controls MPLS performance
We have an aspect of MPLS network implementations that we wish to look at today: SLA enforcement on MPLS service agreements: Application Response Measurements
How to use ARM to measure MPLS SLA's. Are quoted RTT's adhered to?
Application Response Measurements (ARM) can measure a number of parameters one of them being Round Trip Times (RTT). RTT indicates the time it takes for a client to get a response to a connection establishment request. RTT are commonly quoted to indicate delay SLA's for MPLS networks. (i.e., any packets tagged with code point 45 will be experience an RTT of no more that 200ms.). Exinda appliances can be used to verify these SLA's through ARM
